Tab Trade — What It Is
Tab Trade went live in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
His background is relevant. It means the leadership has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. But preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.
They launched with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. TabTrade did the opposite. Interesting choice.
The instrument list: FX, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For something that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.
What You Trade On
They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the default. Complete charts, automated trading, huge user base. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is offered for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would round things out when it arrives.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. No minimum deposit. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can be under half a pip. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that offer pricing like this want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not for typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
This is the thing TabTrade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Should you care? If you scalp, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you swing trade, it matters less. The point is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.
Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering is strong. Few brokers with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
This is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.
What you are accepting: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
